About this fabric

This colourway of Conga by Larsen reads as a warm, rusted terracotta with a slightly muted clay tone, lifted by narrow cream and dark brown stripes. The 95% cotton and 5% jute composition gives the cloth a grounded, textured look that feels more natural than polished. At approximately 136cm wide with a vertical repeat of 1cm, the stripe layout is regular and neatly tailored. The fine woven texture catches the light softly, so the reddish-brown ground looks rich without appearing glossy. With no performance features noted, it is best chosen for decorative upholstery or relaxed interior schemes where the stripe can lead the room.

How to use it

Calao Wood works well on an accent chair, bench or loose cover where its terracotta ground adds warmth without overpowering. Pair it with oak, aged brass and off-white walls to keep the stripes looking crisp and architectural.

Use with warm woods and natural linens for a tailored, earthy look.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
