Jeff Tobacco

Conga FabricL9462-04

Jeff Tobacco shows a small checkerboard pattern in warm tobacco and biscuit tones, with a lightly textured woven finish that feels crisp and ordered. The contrast is subtle rather than high-impact, giving the design a tailored, quietly graphic look.

About this fabric

This colourway of Conga pairs a muted tobacco brown with pale oat and sand notes, so the check reads warm, grounded and slightly vintage rather than stark. The surface has a visible woven slub that softens the geometry and adds depth across the small repeat. Supplied at approximately 140cm wide, with a vertical repeat of 7cm half drop and a horizontal repeat of about 7cm, it has a disciplined, compact scale that suits neat upholstery layouts. Its composition of 40% Virgin Wool, 19% Viscose, 18% Cotton, 13% Polyester and 10% Linen supports the fabric’s textured handle and natural-looking variation.

How to use it

Use Jeff Tobacco on an occasional chair, dining seat or ottoman where the small-scale check can add pattern without overwhelming the room. It sits especially well with walnut timber, aged leather and warm neutrals, and the tobacco note brings welcome depth to pale interiors.

A compact checked weave that brings a tailored, tobacco warmth to seating or small accent pieces.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Jeff Tobacco without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
