About this fabric

This Manuel Canovas fabric is woven in a compact check-like texture with a subtle slubbed surface that gives the colourway depth and movement. The Tabac palette combines toasted brown, honeyed tan and pale neutral threads, so the overall effect feels warm rather than red and stays quietly grounded in the light. With a repeat of approximately V 5cm / H 4cm and a width of approximately 140cm, it is a neatly proportioned design that sits well on tailored furnishings. The composition of 57% cotton, 31% polyester and 12% acrylic gives it a practical textile body, and the Q 8 + T 3 care code plus fire code K are useful specification points for project planning.

How to use it

Use Montaigne Tabac on an armchair, ottoman or bench where the warm brown ground can bring depth without looking heavy. It also works well alongside biscuit linens, cognac leather and aged brass for a refined, layered scheme.

Pair with tan leather or chalky neutrals for a warm, tailored finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
