Montaigne Brique

Montaigne FabricM4196-06

Montaigne Brique reads as a soft brick terracotta, with a gently mottled surface that feels warm rather than bright. The close weave gives it a dry, tactile look with a subtle speckled rhythm across the cloth.

About this fabric

This Montaigne colourway is woven in 57% Cotton, 31% Polyester and 12% Acrylic, giving the surface a balanced, lightly textured handle that suits everyday use. The 140cm approximate width and repeat of V 5cm / H 4cm approx make it practical for upholstered pieces where the pattern can be aligned neatly. Visually, the shade sits between clay, cinnamon and faded rust, with lighter threads softening the brick tone so it never appears flat. The result is a smart, quietly earthy fabric that feels more tailored than rustic.

How to use it

Use this muted terracotta on a sofa, banquette or occasional chair to add warmth without overpowering the room. It works especially well with oak, chalky neutrals and deep green accents, where the softened red-brown tone can hold its own.

A warm, grounded weave that brings easy depth to tailored seating and relaxed schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
