About this fabric

Woven in 70% viscose and 30% linen, this fabric has a supple, lightly lustrous handle that still feels grounded by the linen content. The visible surface shows a very small-scale pattern, with narrow horizontal and diagonal thread movement that softens the terracotta tone. Terre Cuite reads as a muted clay shade rather than a bright orange, with a dusty warmth that catches the light in a quiet way. At approximately 140cm wide, it is a versatile cloth for scheme building, and the repeat is compact at V 2cm / H 1cm approx. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √CM are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use this colourway where you want warmth without heaviness: it will sit well with oak, limestone and aged brass, and the restrained weave keeps it looking tailored. It would make elegant upholstered pieces or relaxed curtains in rooms that need a sun-baked, earthy note.

A warm earthy shade that works beautifully on cushions, loose covers or softly tailored drapes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
