About this fabric

Woven in 70% viscose and 30% linen, Monti Rose Ancien has a smooth handle with a lightly slubbed, textile character that shows up in the close-up image. The colour is a muted pink-beige rose, with pale blush highlights and a soft chalky depth that stops it feeling overly sweet. At approximately 140cm wide, it is a practical decorative fabric for schemes that need a gentle colour wash, and the small repeat of V 2cm / H 1cm approx suggests a restrained woven pattern rather than a bold motif. The overall effect is polished but understated, with enough texture to keep the surface visually alive.

How to use it

Use this rose-toned cloth on an occasional chair, a tailored sofa or simple curtain panels where the colour can read as a warm neutral. It pairs especially well with ivory, pale oak and aged brass, which suit its subdued pink-beige cast.

A quietly elegant rose tone that works beautifully across upholstery and relaxed drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
