Hawthorn Rosewood

Sherwood Collection FabricHAWTHORN

Hawthorn Rosewood shows a delicate trail of blossom stems scattered across a warm ivory ground, giving the fabric a light, romantic feel. The pink florals sit softly against olive-brown stems, so the design reads fresh rather than sugary.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% cotton and specified for drapes only, Hawthorn Rosewood has the handle and visual softness to suit window treatments beautifully. The fabric is 138cm wide and has a 63cm vertical repeat and 69cm horizontal repeat, which supports the generous, airy spacing of the trailing botanical motif. In this colourway, the blossom heads appear as muted rose pink with a gentle chalky finish, while the stems bring a deeper olive-brown contrast that keeps the pattern grounded. At 317 grams per linear metre, it has enough body for a well-dressed curtain without looking heavy, and the traditional style gives it a classic, country-house character. Made in Spain, it feels especially suited to interiors that want a refined floral with a soft, lived-in warmth.

How to use it

Use Hawthorn Rosewood at a window where its dusky pink blossoms can catch natural light and soften cream or stone walls. It also works well in a formal sitting room with walnut wood, brushed brass, and plain linen cushions to balance the pattern.

Pairs neatly with warm neutrals and aged brass for a tailored country look.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Hawthorn Rosewood without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
