Hawthorn Ink

Sherwood Collection FabricHAWTHORN

Hawthorn Ink sets a dark inky navy ground with a scattering of fine gold botanical stems across the surface. The contrast gives the design a poised, twilight feel with the motif standing out clearly on the cloth.

About this fabric

From Ashley Wilde’s Sherwood Collection, this traditional fabric is woven in 100% cotton and is supplied for drapes only. The cloth measures 138cm wide and has a pattern repeat of 63cm vertically and 69cm horizontally, which helps frame the repeated stem-and-seed motif across full-length curtains. Visually, the navy ground reads deep and cool, while the metallic gold florals bring a warm, softly reflective highlight rather than a bright shine. At 317gsm, it has enough substance to hang with presence while still reading as a decorative drapery textile, and it is manufactured in Spain.

How to use it

Use Hawthorn Ink for floor-length curtains in a library, dining room, or formal sitting room where the dark blue ground can anchor the scheme. It pairs especially well with walnut wood, brass details, and muted cream walls.

Use for elegant curtains where the gold motif can glow against the dark ground.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
