Hawthorn Mulberry
Sherwood Collection FabricHAWTHORN
Hawthorn Mulberry shows slender trailing stems and clustered blossom heads across a warm ivory ground. The mulberry-purple flowers and golden stems give the traditional print a light, painterly feel.

About this fabric
Woven in 100% cotton and supplied as drapes only, Hawthorn is a decorative fabric with a natural handle suited to curtains and blinds rather than upholstery. This Mulberry colourway sets dusky purple blossom clusters against an ivory background, with warm ochre stems that keep the design from feeling too cool or flat. The 138cm width and 63cm vertical repeat help the pattern fall in graceful vertical runs, while the 69cm horizontal repeat shows a relaxed, spacious spread across the cloth. At 317 grams per linear metre and 230 grams per sq metre, it has enough body for a well-shaped drape without losing its soft, traditional character.
How to use it
Use this colourway where you want a classic floral with depth: it works especially well at full length on curtains, Roman blinds, or lined café drapes. Pair the muted mulberry tones with aged brass, dark wood, or cream-painted joinery for a settled, heritage look.
The mulberry sprigs bring a refined heritage feel to curtains and Roman blinds.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Hawthorn Mulberry without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
