About this fabric

Woven in Belgium, this Ashley Wilde fabric combines 54% polyester, 36% viscose and 10% linen to create a cloth with body, softness and a gentle dry handle. It is specified for severe contract upholstery and drapes, and its 40,000 rub test makes it well suited to demanding interiors. Visually, the colour is a restrained plum-purple rather than a bright violet, with a smoky warmth that reads elegant and grounded. The plain weave and low-key texture help the shade feel calm and versatile across larger upholstered pieces or full-length curtains.

How to use it

Use Florenzo Aubergine where you want a deeper accent that still feels refined, especially on a sofa, banquette or pair of lined curtains. It pairs well with pale stone, warm greys and aged brass, which lift the plum undertone without overpowering it.

A rich but restrained plum tone that works neatly on tailored upholstery and elegant drapes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
