About this fabric

Woven in 71% polyester and 29% cotton, this Ashley Wilde fabric is specified for drapes only and has a width of 140cm. The surface shows a fine, subtle texture that catches the light softly, while the overall colour remains shaded and cool, with a thistle-inspired mauve cast. At 318gsm, it has enough substance to hang neatly without feeling heavy, and the 227gsm weight supports a graceful curtain finish. With no rub test noted and an origin of India, it is best considered a dedicated furnishing cloth for windows rather than upholstery.

How to use it

Use Isla Thistle where you want colour that is present but not loud: it works beautifully on full-length curtains, Roman blinds or layered sheers in pale stone, white or dusty green schemes. The muted mauve tone brings a gentle warmth to grey-painted rooms without overpowering them.
