Loire Mulberry shows a deep, muted plum-mulberry shade with a softly textured plain weave. The surface has a dry, natural look that keeps the colour grounded rather than glossy.

About this fabric

This Ashley Wilde fabric from the Verona Collection is made from 70% cotton and 30% linen, giving it a relaxed handle and a lightly slubbed, woven appearance. With a rub test result of 18,000 and a width of 142cm, it is specified for light domestic upholstery, drapes and blinds. The colour is a smoky mulberry with brown undertones, reading richer in shadow and slightly softened where the light catches the weave. Its plain style and subtle texture make the shade feel smart and understated rather than vivid or jewel-like.

How to use it

Use Loire Mulberry to bring warmth to neutral upholstery, or pair it with pale plaster, taupe and aged brass for a tailored scheme. It also works well on Roman blinds where the dark plum tone can add depth without overpowering a room.

A rich mulberry plain that adds depth to both upholstery and window treatments.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
