Loire Onyx

Verona Collection FabricLOIRE

Loire Onyx is a deep charcoal plain with a cool, almost black appearance and a softly woven linen look. The surface has a fine crosshatch texture that gives the colourway quiet depth rather than a flat solid finish.

About this fabric

Woven in India from 70% cotton and 30% linen, Loire Onyx combines a natural handle with a visibly textured plain weave. At 142cm wide and 340gsm, it sits in a sturdy mid-weight category that works well for light domestic upholstery as well as drapes and blinds. The 18,000 rub test supports its use on occasional seating and other lower-wear applications, while the dark onyx tone reads as a muted charcoal with a cool, smoky cast. The weave catches the light subtly, so the surface feels refined and architectural rather than glossy or heavy.

How to use it

This dark neutral works well on clean-lined cushions, dining chairs or a tailored blind where its charcoal depth can anchor lighter walls. Pair it with oatmeal linens, oak or matte black accents for a crisp contrast.

Use with pale timber or brushed metal to lift the dark, linen-rich surface.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
