Albany Ebony settles into a deep ebony ground with a close, irregular crosshatch of charcoal, brown and grey threads. The low-contrast weave gives the dark colour a softly broken surface, visible as fine horizontal and vertical striations.

About this fabric

Albany Ebony is a dense, crosshatched woven cloth with a near-black charcoal ground and subtle brown-grey thread variation. Fine horizontal and vertical lines create a lightly heathered texture, giving the dark shade more depth than a flat solid. At 517 gsm and 139 cm usable width, it has the substantial weight suited to upholstered seating. With a 0 cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeat, the cloth can be positioned without motif matching.

How to use it

Use this near-black charcoal-brown colourway on a tailored armchair, sofa or dining seat where its softly irregular weave can add texture without introducing a strong pattern. Balance the ebony depth with warm timber, aged brass or pale natural upholstery accents.
