About this fabric

Marzac Noir from Manuel Canovas’ Malou collection is a fabric with a strong small-scale woven pattern and a distinctly structured feel. The composition is 60% viscose, 25% cotton, 8% linen and 7% polyester, and the cloth is approximately 144cm wide with a repeat of V 20cm / H 36cm approx. Visually, the colourway reads as deep black with narrow light taupe and bone-coloured slivers, giving the pattern a layered, almost stacked appearance. The finish feels tailored rather than glossy, with the lighter threads catching the eye against the dark ground. With its smart contrast and defined texture, it brings a graphic edge without feeling overly ornate.

How to use it

Use this colourway on an upholstered chair, ottoman or banquette where the small repeat can be appreciated up close. It pairs well with pale plaster, walnut and brushed metal for a sharp, contemporary contrast.
