Titus Nuit

Palto FabricM4120-06

Titus Nuit shows a tightly textured, abstract zigzag ground that reads almost like a woven maze across the surface. The dark base is lifted by a pale stone-toned thread, giving the pattern a sharp, luminous contrast.

About this fabric

This Fabric from the Palto collection by Manuel Canovas has a repeat of approximately V 16cm / H 14cm and a width of approximately 140cm, making the motif feel compact and highly continuous across a surface. The composition is 50% Viscose, 27% Cotton and 23% Polyester, which suits the crisp, slightly dry look visible in the cloth. In Titus Nuit, the ground appears deep ink-black while the raised patterning reads as pale taupe-stone, so the overall effect is dark, graphic and quietly refined rather than high gloss. The small-scale zigzag movement gives the fabric a lively surface detail that still feels controlled and tailored.

How to use it

This colourway works well on an upholstered chair or sofa where the black ground can anchor a room without looking heavy. Pair it with pale oak, limestone, or brushed brass to bring out the lighter thread and keep the pattern legible.

Use it to add a dark, textured note that reads quietly graphic rather than flashy.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
