About this fabric

This Odyssey colourway is a plain in 100% polyester, designed for contract use and rated to 50,000 Martindale, so it brings practical durability to a very dark, refined finish. The swatch appears as a near-solid black with only the faintest suggestion of texture, making it read crisp and understated rather than shiny or velvety. Supplied back coated to Cigarette & Match to BS5852, it is suited to projects where performance requirements matter as much as appearance. Professional dry clean in situ is recommended, with further care guidance available in the pattern book. Its depth of tone makes it a strong choice when you want a fabric that visually recedes and lets shape and detailing take the lead.

How to use it

Use Odyssey Black on sculptural seating, banquettes or headboards to create a sharply tailored silhouette. It pairs especially well with brass, walnut and pale stone, where the black reads as deliberate and architectural.

Use for sharp, architectural pieces where a true black finish is wanted.
