About this fabric

From the Soulful collection by J Brown, this plain fabric is woven in 100% Recycled Polyester and is designed for Heavy Domestic use. It has a Martindale abrasion result of 40,000, making it a practical choice for everyday seating. In this colourway, the black base is warmed by charcoal undertones and a subtly striated weave, so the surface feels refined rather than harsh. Supplied back coated to Cigarette & Match to BS5852, it can also be professionally dry cleaned in situ, with further care guidance in the pattern book.

How to use it

Use this dark, textural shade to ground a sofa, armchair or ottoman in a contemporary scheme. It works especially well with pale wood, concrete, brass or warm neutrals for contrast.

Best on tailored seating where the dark, textural surface adds depth without looking glossy.
