Lucent Sheer Ebony

Sheers 1 FabricHAF0521-02

Lucent Sheer Ebony appears as a near-black charcoal voile with subtle darker vertical bands and a fine, lightly open weave. Daylight passes through the cloth, leaving the garden and exterior architecture softly visible behind it.

About this fabric

The deep ebony tone reads cool and smoky rather than warm, with the vertical tonal bands adding gentle depth as the fabric hangs. Its 93 gsm weight and 28 threads per centimetre create a delicate, translucent surface suited to filtering light while retaining an airy appearance. The supplied specification records no vertical or horizontal pattern repeat, keeping the design visually continuous across the 305 cm usable width. With a standard length of 30 m, it is well suited to broad curtain installations where the charcoal sheer can fall in full, fluid drops.

How to use it

Use this cool charcoal sheer at full height against pale stone, concrete or soft white walls, where its light-filtering quality and darker vertical bands create a calm architectural frame. Layer it with a blackout lining or a deeper solid curtain when stronger privacy is needed.

A translucent charcoal sheer for softly filtered daylight and contemporary window dressing.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Lucent Sheer Ebony without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
