Quito black

Misc Fabricquito/fa1/cha

Quito Black is a dark, textured weave with a softly mottled surface and a restrained check-like rhythm in the cloth. The finish reads as charcoal-black rather than flat jet black, giving it more depth in the light.

About this fabric

Woven in 85% viscose and 15% linen, this fabric has a refined slubby handle that suits both curtains and upholstery. The visible weave is compact and tactile, with pale fibres catching across the surface to soften the overall black ground. At 142cm wide and sold under alternative SKU QUITO/603, it offers a practical width for larger furnishings and window treatments. Spot clean only and iron safe, it is a versatile non-FR option where a smart, understated dark tone is wanted.

How to use it

Use Quito Black to anchor pale walls, warm wood and aged brass, where the charcoal depth will look tailored rather than harsh. It is especially effective on clean-lined chairs, cushions or relaxed curtains that need a grounded, textural finish.

A quietly tailored dark neutral that works well on upholstery and curtains alike.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
