Trento black

Trento Fabrictrento/fa1/ony

Trento Black is a dark, quietly textured fabric with a matte charcoal-to-black appearance and a subtle woven surface. Its close, small-scale structure gives the colour a solid, even depth rather than a flat solid finish.

About this fabric

Woven in 46% cotton, 41% polyester and 13% linen, this Trento colourway has a substantial handle and a visible tight basket-like texture. The black reads as softened charcoal in the light, with tiny flecks of tonal variation that stop it feeling harsh. With a 40,000 martindale, it is well suited to upholstery as well as curtains and blinds, and the 139cm usable width supports a range of making-up projects. It is dry clean only and iron safe, with no horizontal or vertical pattern repeat to match.

How to use it

Use this shade to anchor a scheme with pale oak, stone, or warm white walls, where its muted black texture can add contrast without glare. It also works well on tailored seating or full-height drapes in rooms that need a sharper, more contemporary edge.

A deep charcoal black that gives a clean, grounded finish on seating or curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
