About this fabric
Woven in 100% polyester, Malvolio Black is a substantial fabric at 508gsm with a strong 70,000 Martindale rating, making it a practical choice for hardworking seating as well as curtains and blinds. The surface shows a fine, even texture rather than a bold pattern, so the black appears softened by tiny tonal flecks and shadowed movement. With no pattern repeat, it gives a clean, uninterrupted finish across larger pieces. It is dry clean only and should not be ironed, so the fabric’s textured face is best preserved with gentle care.
How to use it
Use this colourway on tailored upholstery, dining chairs, or a structured headboard where its charcoal-black tone will add depth without looking stark. It also works well with pale woods, brushed metals, and warm neutrals to lift the darker ground.
