About this fabric

This colourway has a dense, suede-like appearance with a subtle nap that shifts the purple from near-black shadow into a brighter wine-plum in the light. Made from 100% polyester, it is a substantial fabric at 508gsm with a hard-wearing 70,000 Martindale, making it suitable for curtains, blinds and upholstery. The cloth has no visible pattern repeat, so the focus stays on the depth of the pile and the tonal movement across the surface. Dry clean only and do not iron, it is best treated as a luxurious, practical plain with a strong presence.

How to use it

Use this purple on statement chairs, banquettes or a tailored headboard where the colour can feel rich rather than sugary. It also works well in curtains against pale plaster, stone or warm wood to emphasise its dark plum depth.

Pair with brass, walnut or soft neutrals to let the rich plum depth stand out.
