Topia purple

Kyotogardens Fabrictopia/fa1/tou

Topia Purple from Voyage Maison’s Kyotogardens collection shows a layered leaf motif in soft mauve, plum and misty lilac on a pale ground. The painterly stripes and overlapping forms give the cloth a relaxed, organic movement.

About this fabric

This fabric is woven in 82% viscose and 18% linen, with a light 117gsm handle and a 138cm width, making it well suited to curtains, blinds and soft furnishings. The print reads as a cool, muted purple rather than a bright violet, with dusky plum outlines and pale lilac petals that keep the overall effect gentle. Its 26.5cm horizontal repeat and 34.5cm vertical repeat create a generous botanical rhythm across the cloth. Dry clean only and do not iron, so it is best handled with care to preserve the surface and drape.

How to use it

Use this colourway where you want a calm purple accent that still feels airy, such as bedroom curtains or relaxed Roman blinds. It works especially well with parchment, dove grey and pale wood finishes.

Pair with pale lilac or chalky neutrals to let the painterly leaves read softly.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
