About this fabric

This Katsura fabric is made from 95% cotton and 5% linen, and at 230gsm it has enough substance for curtains, blinds and soft furnishings while still feeling easy and breathable. The 70cm by 70cm repeat supports the large, drifting leaf pattern, which is visible here in muted purple, taupe, olive and soft green tones. In this colourway, the purple sits as a dusty plum-lilac rather than a bright violet, so the design reads understated and slightly vintage. The cream ground keeps the print fresh, while the washed, watercolor-like edges soften the contrast across the surface. Dry clean only; cool iron.

How to use it

Use Koyo Purple where you want pattern without high contrast: it works especially well in bedrooms, sitting rooms and conservatories with pale timber, stone or muted painted finishes. The dusky purple notes bring warmth to cooler schemes, while the sage and taupe leaf shapes keep the look relaxed.
