Katsura red

Katsura Fabrickatsura/fa1/mul

Katsura in Red has a gentle, painterly botanical feel, with muted red berries set among soft leaf forms on a warm neutral ground. The palette reads calm rather than bright, giving the design an easy, lived-in character.

About this fabric

Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this 230gsm fabric has enough substance for curtains, blinds and soft furnishings while still feeling approachable and versatile. The usable width is 138cm, and the pattern repeats every 13.8cm horizontally and 15.2cm vertically, which helps the trailing leaf motif keep its rhythm across a room. In this colourway the reds are softened into dusty berry tones, balanced by greyed sage and taupe foliage that sits lightly against the cream base. Dry clean only care and a cool iron finish make it practical for tailored interior projects where a subtle, natural look is wanted.

How to use it

Use it for relaxed curtains or Roman blinds where the muted red berries can add warmth without dominating the scheme. It works especially well with pale oak, chalky paint colours and layered natural textures.

Pairs beautifully with weathered timber, linen neutrals and soft sage accents.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
