Topia red
Kyotogardens Fabrictopia/fa1/amb
Topia Red sets a painterly leaf motif against a muted rose-red ground, with each outlined frond picked out in ivory, blush and ochre. The overall effect is warm, layered and softly textured rather than bright or jewel-like.

About this fabric
Woven in 82% viscose and 18% linen, this fabric has a light 117gsm handle that reads more fluid than heavy. The visible surface shows a matte, slightly slubbed cloth that suits the gentle movement of drapery, while the 138cm width makes it practical for larger curtain drops and soft furnishings. The large 26.5cm horizontal repeat and 34.5cm vertical repeat create an expressive leaf pattern that feels painterly across the cloth. In this red colourway, the ground is a restrained dusty rose rather than a vivid crimson, giving the design a warm, earthy depth.
How to use it
Use Topia Red where you want a cocooning accent that still feels airy, such as full-length curtains or a feature blind. It pairs well with aged brass, natural timber and soft neutrals that let the red ground stay grounded and elegant.
A painterly leaf design in warm dusty red, softened by ivory and ochre highlights.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Topia red without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
