Nippon Orange brings a painterly botanical motif to a pale ground, with branches and foliage picked out in warm rust, terracotta and muted gold. The overall effect is airy but autumnal, letting the orange palette read soft rather than bright.

About this fabric

Woven in 82% viscose and 18% linen, this 117gsm fabric has a light, dry handle that suits curtains, blinds and soft furnishings. The visible ground is a natural, slubby cream-beige, which keeps the large-scale floral and branch design feeling open and breathable rather than heavy. In this colourway the foliage sits between burnt orange, paprika and faded rose, with olive-grey stems softening the warmth. The design repeats at 66.5cm horizontal and 55.5cm vertical, and the cloth is supplied at 138cm wide with a 133cm usable width. Dry clean only and do not iron.

How to use it

Use this shade where you want colour without glare: it works well against limewashed walls, oak furniture and muted greens. The soft terracotta notes also sit beautifully with natural textures like jute, cane and aged brass.

Warm terracotta tones lift the airy linen look beautifully in soft window treatments.
