Nippon green
Kyotogardens Fabricnippon/fa1/eme
Nippon in Green has a soft, painterly woodland look, with slender tree trunks and feathery leaf clusters drifting across a pale ground. The sage, teal and blue-green brushstrokes give the design a fresh, airy feel rather than a heavy forest tone.

About this fabric
Woven in 82% viscose and 18% linen, this fabric has a light, refined handle at 117gsm and a linen-rich texture that suits graceful interior use. The usable width is 133cm, with a vertical pattern repeat of 55.5cm and a horizontal repeat of 66.5cm, so the trees and foliage can be planned carefully across a wider run. In Nippon green, the palette stays cool and muted, with soft sage and misty blue accents sitting over a pale neutral ground. The result is calm and decorative, with enough detail in the branches and leaf marks to feel expressive without becoming busy.
How to use it
Use this colourway for curtains or blinds in rooms that already have light timber, chalky paint or stone finishes. It will bring a gentle green note to a space without overpowering a soft, natural scheme.
Pair with pale woods and plain linens to let the leafy motif and gentle sage tones breathe.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Nippon green without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
