Geneva orange
Katsura Fabricgeneva/fa1/rus
Geneva Orange in Katsura reads as a richly layered woven stripe with warm spice tones, softened by cream, olive and charcoal accents. The surface has a tactile, handwoven look that gives the colourway a lively, artisan feel.

About this fabric
This fabric is made from 55% Cotton, 24% Viscose, 12% Linen, 7% Acrylic and 2% Polyester, with a substantial 930.0 gsm handle and a 20000 martindale rating. It is suitable for curtains, blinds and upholstery, and the 140 cm usable width supports larger-scale projects. The design shows a broad, abstract stripe and block layout with a visible slubby weave, where burnt orange is broken up by natural ecru, olive-tinged neutrals and darker charcoal bands. Dry clean only and dry iron as required, this colourway feels earthy and warm rather than bright, with the orange settling into a mellow terracotta-spice note.
How to use it
Use it to bring warmth to a scheme with oak, plaster pinks, clay and stone, especially where the orange can echo other natural materials. It works particularly well on upholstered pieces or relaxed curtains when you want the pattern’s woven texture to read clearly.
Layer with warm neutrals and textured woods to let the woven colour shifts stand out.

Pairs well with
A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Geneva orange without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
