Kanto Orange combines ink-washed bamboo stems with scattered leaves in warm rust, amber and ochre tones across a pale ground. The effect is airy and painterly, with the orange accents giving the design a gentle autumnal lift.

About this fabric

Woven in 82% viscose and 18% cotton, this fabric has a light 117gsm handle and a soft, fluid drape that suits curtains, blinds and soft furnishings. The usable width is 133cm, with a total width of 138cm, and the pattern is sized at a 66.5cm horizontal repeat and 59cm vertical repeat. In this colourway, the bamboo trunks read in cool grey and taupe washes, while the leaf motifs bring in burnt orange, terracotta and muted gold for a natural, gently expressive finish. It is dry clean only and should not be ironed, which suits a decorative fabric used where its painterly surface can be appreciated.

How to use it

Pair this warm orange colourway with pale plaster, driftwood and soft mushroom tones for a calm, layered scheme. It also works well as a window fabric in rooms needing a little colour without losing a light, relaxed feel.
