About this fabric

This fabric is made from 75% polyester and 25% viscose, with a substantial 730gsm weight that gives it the body expected of an upholstery fabric as well as curtaining use. The pattern repeat is generous at 66.5cm horizontally and 49cm vertically, which suits the large-scale koi design visible in the image. The ground colour is a rich blue-green teal, slightly muted rather than bright, so the cream, apricot and charcoal markings on the fish read crisply against it. Dry clean only and do not iron.

How to use it

Use Koicarp Blue where you want the koi artwork to feel more tailored than playful: on a statement chair, window seat or lined curtain in a room with walnut, brass or linen textures. Its cool teal base works especially well with pale timber, soft grey paint and restrained accessories.

Pair with warm neutrals or dark wood to balance the bold koi motif.
