Koyo blue

Katsura Fabrickoyo/fa1/aqu

Koyo Blue shows a loose leaf motif in watery shades of blue, teal, sage and soft grey across a warm neutral ground. The hand-painted effect gives the design a fresh, airy feel with plenty of movement.

About this fabric

Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this fabric has a soft natural handle and a mid-weight 230gsm body that suits curtains, blinds and soft furnishings. The large leaf repeats at 70cm horizontally and vertically, creating a rhythmic all-over pattern rather than a tiny scattered print. In this Koyo Blue colourway, the palette leans cool and breezy, with misty blues, sea-glass greens and slate tones sitting on an off-white base. The finish feels gently textured and relaxed, while the painterly edges keep the pattern from reading too hard or graphic. Dry clean only; cool iron if needed.

How to use it

Use Koyo Blue in rooms that need a calm, coastal lift, especially where the blue-green leaves can sit against chalky whites or pale oak. It works well on full-length curtains or Roman blinds where the 70cm repeat can be seen clearly.

Pair with pale woods and crisp white to keep the watery leaf print fresh.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
