About this fabric

Lyncombe Aqua from the Albeck collection by Colefax and Fowler is a fabric with no visible repeat, and its small-scale weave gives the colour a calm, linen-like grain. The 140cm approx width and the blend of 43% cotton, 32% viscose, 14% acrylic, 8% linen and 3% polyamide make it a versatile textile with a balanced, slightly textured handle. In this colourway the aqua sits very quietly, lifted by pale grey and stone notes rather than a bright blue cast, so the overall effect is cool and understated. The surface catches light in tiny flecks across the weave, which helps the fabric feel fresh without looking shiny or severe.

How to use it

Use Lyncombe Aqua for tailored upholstery, loose covers or relaxed curtains where a soft blue-green neutral is wanted. It sits well with chalky whites, pale oak and weathered metals, especially in light-filled rooms.

A cool, quiet aqua that works neatly across upholstery and curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
