Lyncombe Old Blue

Albeck FabricF4234-04

Lyncombe Old Blue has a quiet, chalky blue tone with a softly heathered surface that reads calm rather than bright. The weave gives it a fine, lightly textured look with gentle depth across the cloth.

About this fabric

This Lyncombe colourway is woven in a 43% Cotton, 32% Viscose, 14% Acrylic, 8% Linen, 3% Polyamide composition, with an approximate width of 140cm and no visible repeat. The fabric appears as a small, even plain weave, with the blue softened by greyed notes so it sits in a restrained, lived-in register. Its matte finish and close texture give the colour a muted, slightly smoky quality, with lighter threads creating a subtle crosshatch effect in the surface. The result feels versatile and composed, suited to a fabric that needs to look tailored without feeling severe.

How to use it

Pair this dusty blue with pale oak, putty, and off-white for a calm, layered scheme, or use it against darker timber to emphasise its cool, serene undertone. It works well where a soft, understated blue is wanted without the brightness of a clearer primary tone.

Use it for tailored upholstery or relaxed drapery with crisp, classic finishes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
