Auvergne French Blue

Provence Fabric

Auvergne French Blue shows a detailed bird-and-scroll pattern in a cool, softly faded blue ground with pale ivory ornament. The design has a gently vintage look, with the motif sitting clearly against the textured weave.

About this fabric

This colourway reads as a chalky French blue, softened by an off-white pattern that keeps the surface light rather than heavy. The printed repeat is 35cm vertical by 35.5cm horizontal, creating a generous rhythmic pattern of birds, leaves and scrolls across the cloth. Woven in 100% recycled polyester and supplied at 145cm wide, it offers a practical decorative fabric for interior use. The visible texture gives the design a slightly linen-like character, while the cooler blue tone makes the pattern feel crisp and restrained.

How to use it

Use it on a statement armchair, roman blind or cushions where the pale blue ground can bring freshness without shouting. It works especially well with weathered timber, plaster pinks, soft whites and muted greys.

Pair with pale oak or chalky neutrals for a fresh, quietly classic look.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Auvergne French Blue without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
