Darwin Collection FabricBRONTE

Bronte Danube is a quiet, softly washed blue with a fine, linen-like surface and a cool, muted finish. The colour reads calm and understated rather than bright, making the plain design feel relaxed and refined.

About this fabric

This plain from the Darwin Collection by Ashley Wilde is woven in 68% Recycled Polyester and 32% Polyester, with a width of 140cm and a substantial 320gsm weight. The cloth has a dry, lightly textured look with a subtle crosshatch effect visible across the surface, giving the blue-grey tone extra depth. In this colourway, the shade sits between sky blue and slate, so it feels cool, softened and slightly weathered in the light. It is supplied for drapes only, and the full-width plain repeat means the texture and colour do all the work.

How to use it

Use Bronte Danube for elegant curtains, wave headers or Roman blinds where a calm blue-grey is needed without pattern. It pairs especially well with pale timber, crisp white and soft stone finishes.

A cool, understated blue that layers neatly into calm contemporary schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
