Bronte Charcoal

Darwin Collection FabricBRONTE

Bronte Charcoal is a smooth plain in a cool, deep charcoal tone with a subtle woven surface. The colour sits dark and even, with just enough texture to soften the finish.

About this fabric

This colourway from the Darwin Collection is made from 68% Recycled Polyester and 32% Polyester, with a drapery-only use and a 140cm width. At 320gsm, it has a substantial handle that suits structured curtains and blinds rather than upholstery. The weave reads as fine and tidy in the image, with a low-contrast crosshatch effect that lifts the charcoal grey just slightly in the light. The overall impression is muted and contemporary, with the darker tone giving more depth than a flat black while still feeling restrained.

How to use it

Use this charcoal shade for floor-length curtains, where its calm depth can frame lighter walls and soften large windows. It works especially well with pale oak, stone, and brushed metal details for a clean, urban look.

A cool charcoal plain that gives curtains a tailored, quietly modern finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
