Dakota Fog

Dakota Collection FabricDAKOTA

Dakota Fog reads as a soft, misted grey with a gently clouded, textural surface. The finish is calm and understated, with just enough movement in the weave to keep the plain design interesting.

About this fabric

Part of the Dakota Collection by Ashley Wilde, Dakota Fog is a 100% polyester fabric made for severe contract upholstery and drapes. It has a substantial 441 g per linear metre weight and a 60,000 rub test, giving it the durability expected of a commercial-grade textile. Visually, the colour is a cool fog grey with a lightly brushed, weathered effect that breaks up the surface rather than appearing flat. The 147cm width and textured plain construction make it a practical choice for large upholstered pieces, curtains or coordinated schemes where a quiet neutral is needed.

How to use it

Use Dakota Fog to soften modern upholstery, where its pale grey tone will sit neatly against stone, white and charcoal finishes. It also works well for relaxed drapery in contemporary schemes, especially when paired with matte timber and brushed nickel.

Pair this cool, misty neutral with pale oak, brushed metal and deeper charcoal accents.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
