Dakota Indigo

Dakota Collection FabricDAKOTA

Dakota Indigo is a richly grounded blue with a soft, weathered surface and a subtle horizontal movement in the weave. The colour reads as a deep denim tone, cool and composed rather than bright or glossy.

About this fabric

Woven in Spain from 100% polyester, Dakota Indigo is specified for severe contract upholstery and drapes, with a robust 60,000 rub test and a full 147cm width. The face has a gently textured, plain-woven look with fine tonal striations that soften the surface and give the indigo shade extra depth. Its 300gsm weight makes it substantial enough for seating while still suitable for drapery applications that call for a more structured cloth. This blue sits in a muted, mid-to-dark register, so it feels smart and versatile rather than bold or nautical.

How to use it

Use Dakota Indigo on an armchair, banquette or tailored curtain where the cool blue can anchor the scheme. It works especially well with pale oak, charcoal accents and warm off-whites to bring out the fabric’s subdued depth.

Pair with chalky neutrals or warm wood for a calm, tailored finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
