About this fabric
Part of Linwood’s Chesil collection, Strata Denim is a fixed upholstery fabric with a 137cm width and a 18cm vertical pattern repeat. The composition blends 48% viscose, 25% cotton, 21% linen and 6% polyester, giving the cloth its slightly dry, grounded handle and the visible depth in the blue ground. In this colourway, the base reads as a dark denim navy with a muted, cooler cast, while the small linear motifs add a restrained yellow-green note that lifts the check without making it bright. With a 30,000 Martindale rub test and FR rating to BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1, it suits contract and general domestic upholstery where pattern and practicality both matter. Dry clean care helps preserve the texture and the crisp geometry of the design.
How to use it
Use Strata Denim on a sofa, dining chairs or a tailored banquette where its dark blue ground can anchor the room. It pairs especially well with pale timber, chalky neutrals and brushed metal finishes to keep the check feeling sharp.
