About this fabric

This upholstery fabric is composed of 47% Viscose, 30% Cotton, 8% Polyester and 15% Linen, and it has a dry, textile-rich handle that suits tailored seating. The woven pattern reads as a fine chevron or broken stripe in layered papaya orange and softer oat tones, creating a lively contrast without feeling glossy. With an approximate width of 137cm and an 11cm vertical pattern repeat, it is practical for re-covering fixed upholstery with a clear directional rhythm. The fabric has a Martindale rub test of 25,000 and is rated Contract and General Domestic, while also conforming to BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1. The overall effect is warm, energetic and slightly rustic, with enough structure for everyday use.

How to use it

Use Lamina Papaya on an accent chair, ottoman or banquette to add warmth against oak, walnut or painted neutral joinery. Its fresh orange tone also pairs well with earthy greens, chalky whites and textured natural linens.

A lively papaya tone that works well on statement chairs and compact sofas.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Lamina Papaya without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
