Strata Cafe Crema

Chesil Fabric

Strata Cafe Crema has a quietly tailored look, with warm cream ground and coffee-toned woven blocks set into a neat repeating check. The overall effect is soft and inviting, but still crisp enough to read as polished upholstery.

About this fabric

Woven in 6% polyester, 25% cotton, 21% linen and 48% viscose, this fabric has the natural, slightly slubby handle you’d expect from a linen-rich blend, with a smoother tonal finish from the viscose. The 18cm vertical pattern repeat gives the design a measured rhythm, while the compact check motif keeps the surface visually structured rather than busy. In this colourway, the pale café crema ground feels gently warming, and the brownish accents sit in a calm mid-tone that lifts the pattern without harsh contrast. With a Martindale rub test of 30,000 and upholstery grade for contract and general domestic use, it is well suited to regular seating. It is supplied at approx. 137cm wide and should be dry cleaned.

How to use it

Use it on an armchair, banquette or loose cover where you want a soft neutral with a little tailored interest. It pairs especially well with oak, putty, aged brass and other warm neutrals that echo the fabric’s café-toned check.

A warm, structured check that brings subtle texture and tailored character to seating.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Strata Cafe Crema without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
