About this fabric

Woven in 46% cotton, 29% viscose, 14% linen and 11% polyester, Tokyo Wheat is a plain fabric with no repeat, which keeps the focus on its textural surface rather than pattern. The 147cm approximate width makes it versatile for both upholstery and drapery use. Visually, the colour is a soft wheat beige with a gentle golden warmth, lifted by a dry, natural-looking weave and a faint linen-like irregularity. It feels lighter and airier than a deep tan, but richer than a flat ivory, so it brings warmth without heaviness.

How to use it

Use Tokyo Wheat where you want a natural, quiet base that still has a little texture, such as tailored curtains, a neat sofa or a loose armchair. Its warm beige tone pairs especially well with oak, aged brass and chalky off-whites.

A softly textured neutral that sits neatly on upholstery or relaxed drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
