Bordeaux Plain Wheat

Eco -Friendly Ranges Fabric

Bordeaux Plain Wheat is a warm, softly golden neutral with a quiet damask pattern worked into the cloth. The design reads tone-on-tone, so the pattern is visible in the light rather than shouting for attention.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% BCI Cotton, this fabric has a dry, natural handle and a calm matte finish that suits relaxed smart interiors. The wheat beige ground is lifted by a subtle all-over damask motif, with the pattern catching the light just enough to show its curved scrolls and shell-like forms. At 138cm wide, it is a practical furnishing cloth for larger projects, and the 38cm vertical by 71cm horizontal repeat gives the pattern a considered, spacious rhythm. The overall effect is understated and warm, with a gentle depth that feels more sun-washed than yellow.

How to use it

Use this colourway on an upholstered armchair, ottoman or tailored blind where its soft beige tone can sit beside oak, linen and aged brass. It also works well in rooms that need pattern without contrast, since the damask remains quiet and cohesive.

A soft, sun-baked neutral that layers easily with natural woods and muted metallics.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Bordeaux Plain Wheat without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
