Tokyo Saffron

Tokyo FabricL9440-10

Tokyo Saffron shows a rich saffron-gold surface with a fine, cloth-like weave and a softly matte finish. The colour feels bright but grounded, with a warm yellow-orange cast that lifts the texture rather than overpowering it.

About this fabric

This Tokyo colourway is woven in a 46% Cotton, 29% Viscose, 14% Linen, 11% Polyester composition, giving it a natural-looking body with a subtle sheen from the viscose content. The 147cm approx width makes it practical for a wide range of furnishing projects, and the repeat is listed as V 0cm / H 0cm approx, so the surface reads as a clean, uninterrupted plain. In this saffron shade the weave catches the light in fine horizontal and vertical flecks, softening the gold tone and keeping it from looking brash. The overall effect is warm, vivid and slightly earthy, with enough texture to feel tailored rather than flat.

How to use it

Use Tokyo Saffron where you want a statement colour that still feels usable: on a compact armchair, blind or full-length curtain it will read as a bright, honeyed accent. It works especially well against charcoal, deep green or natural wood, where its warm gold tone can glow.

A sunny saffron tone that brings warmth to both upholstery and curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
