Babette Nutmeg

Flori Fabric002

Babette in Nutmeg pairs a softly painterly leaf repeat with a warm cream ground and honeyed golden stems. The result is an uplifting linen that feels classic rather than high-contrast, with the motif sitting gently across the cloth.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% linen, Babette in Nutmeg has a natural slubbed texture that suits the fabric’s relaxed botanical pattern. The colourway combines a warm ivory background with nutmeg-gold leaves and stems, plus small slate-grey accent marks that keep the repeat feeling crisp. With an approximate vertical pattern repeat of 50.5cm, a 137cm width and a Martindale rub test of 30,000, it is specified for fixed upholstery and general domestic use. It is also FR rated to BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1, and the washable care guidance allows machine washing at 30C with around 3% shrinkage.

How to use it

This nutmeg tone works beautifully on an accent chair, dining seat pads or a tailored headboard, where the warm ground can brighten the room without looking brash. Pair it with oak, aged brass and soft off-white paint for a calm, collected scheme.

A warm, painterly leaf motif that brings an elegant glow to classic seating.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Babette Nutmeg without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
