About this fabric

Tokyo Linen from Larsen has a subtle plain weave with no repeat, making the texture and colour the focus rather than any motif. This colourway reads as a soft linen cream with a faint warm undertone, and the weave catches the light with a low, natural sheen from the viscose content. At approximately 147cm wide and made from 46% cotton, 29% viscose, 14% linen and 11% polyester, it has the balanced handle of a fabric suited to both upholstery and curtains. The overall effect is understated and polished, with enough texture to keep the pale neutral from feeling flat.

How to use it

Use it on relaxed armchairs, tailored sofas or full-length curtains where a pale, warm neutral is needed to soften stronger colours. It pairs especially well with oak, straw tones and muted stone shades.

A calm, versatile neutral that lifts softly-textured upholstery and drapery alike.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
