Azul Clay

Tome FabricL9495-01

Azul Clay is a quiet, small-scale check with a softly textured surface and an airy, chalky beige ground. The woven squares read gently tonal rather than high-contrast, giving the design a refined, understated rhythm.

About this fabric

This colourway sits in a soft beige-cream register with a muted clay warmth, so the check pattern feels subtle and elegant rather than graphic. The texture visible in the swatch has a neat, slightly granular weave that suits the fabric’s 59% cotton, 16% viscose, 14% polyester and 11% linen composition. With a width of approximately 138cm and a repeat of about V 2cm / H 2cm, it is an easy-scale design for upholstery or drapery where a restrained geometric effect is wanted. The overall finish looks dry, matte and tailored, with just enough surface variation to add depth in daylight.

How to use it

Use Azul Clay on a slipper chair, banquette or cushions where its gentle check can add structure without overpowering a room. Its pale, warm-neutral tone works especially well with oak, plaster pinks, travertine and other natural finishes.

A calm small-scale check in a chalky neutral that layers easily with natural woods and warm stone.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
