Baltic Shell is a softly diffused oyster cream sheer with a fine, vertical texture that reads clean and understated at a glance. The wide-width cloth hangs in gentle folds, letting light pass through with a calm, polished softness.

About this fabric

Woven in Italy from 100% polyester, this plain fabric is specified for drapes only and has a 300cm width, making it well suited to full-height curtains and wide window runs. The 243 gsm weight gives it enough substance to fall neatly while still keeping the open, airy look visible in the image. Its tone is a pale oyster cream rather than a stark white, with a faint warmth that softens the vertical striations and gives the cloth a refined, low-contrast finish. Rub test results are N/A, so it is best considered as a decorative drapery textile rather than an upholstery choice.

How to use it

Use Baltic Shell where you want light-filtering curtains that feel soft and tailored rather than bright or crisp. Its muted cream tone works especially well with pale oak, chalky paint colours, and layered neutral schemes.

A sheer oyster-toned drape that softens light with a calm, polished finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
